Lark was launched in the UK in 2005 by Allison Jones, and it quickly became known for making the sweetest toys and accessories for children.

Allison moved with her family to rural Australia in 2006. Lark continues to be sold through UK shops and our own website, and is also now available in Europe, the US, Japan and, of course, Australia.

Lark's products are hand-made, high quality, ethical, stylish and fun. Our aim is to make you smile!

Allison continues to make many of the products herself. She also works wih local seamstresses, and with non-profit community groups, including an organisation of women artisans in rural Bangladesh, and organisations for diabled adults in the UK and Australia.

Allison was surrounded by ‘home-made’ clothes and toys as a child, and much of her inspiration comes from these lovingly-made objects and the people who made them, as well as from vintage children’s book illustrations.

Although happy in Australia, she loves England and dreams about returning there to shop, have tea, go to the seaside, and watch telly. Her designs are often influenced by her British childhood, the highlight of which was having one of her early creations picked for the TV show 'Why Don't You...'.

Lark's products are available from these lovely shops. You can also buy them on this website.

In 2007 Allison launched some of her designs through other children's labels in the UK and US.

In September 2008 Lark will be exhibiting at Top Drawer in London.
